July 1-4

Try a July 4 drink

In celebration of Fourth of July, Drawbar – the American-style eatery at West Midtown’s new, modern hotel Bellyard – is offering guests Rockets Red Glare, a limited-time, festive cocktail. Available from July 1-4, the patriotic libation is made of Tito’s vodka and lemonade and garnished with the ever-so-nostalgic Bomb Pop.

Family Dance Party

Bring the family to Halcyon in Forsyth County for Family Dance Parties, with this month’s event having a special patriotic theme. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, DJ Jake will play family-friendly dance tunes outside on the Village Green, while guests enjoy games and giveaways. This is the perfect opportunity to show off your quarantine dance moves while celebrating Independence Day!

Hot Dog Eating Contest

For anyone who thrives off the nail biting experience of friendly competition, Red’s Beer Garden is teaming up with Atlanta’s own Arches Brewing to present the ultimate, local hot dog eating extravaganza during Independence Day weekend. The inaugural event is set to release the dogs at Red’s Beer Garden in Benteen Park on Saturday, July 3rd at 2 p.m.

Car show, parade, live music in Dahlonega

Head to Dahlonega for Independence Day Weekend 2021. Saturday’s events include a car show, parade through downtown, hot dog eating contest and a free concert.

Finish Peachtree Road Race & celebrate

Raise a glass to celebrate the end of a successful AJC Peachtree Road Race at 5Church Atlanta. Runners wearing their 2021 road race T-shirts are invited to stop in on Saturday, July 3 for a complimentary mimosa with any purchase. 5Church will be closed on July 4. July 3 and 4

Live Music

Grab a spot on the Village Green at Halcyon or bring your own chair and enjoy live music from local artists on July 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and July 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Halcyon. With the development’s open container policy, guests can grab a beverage to sip on during the free concert and indulge in a meal from the Market Hall or on one of the dog-friendly patios (no coolers or outside food or beverages are permitted). Outdoor games will also be available.

White & Blue Race

Start your Independence Day with a 5k, 10k, or 1k Fun Run! Join North Georgia Running Co’s Run, White & Blue race at Halcyon on July 4 or participate virtually. The race is family-friendly and a great way for people of all ages to get active, whether walking or running. Live music at HOBNOB

Celebrate America’s Birthday With Brunch on the BeltLine at TWO urban licks

It’s time to don the red, white, and blue on Sunday, July 4th! Brunch lovers can get an early start to their Independence Day festivities at TWO urban licks. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Executive Chef Matt Weinstein is cooking up his signature, fiery American cuisine. Guests can sip on refreshing beverages in spirit of the holiday, including the Strawberry Limonada, white wine, and SweetWater Blue, while enjoying TWO’s classic favorites like the Salmon Chips, Fried Chicken Biscuit, TWO Burger, BBQ Brisket paired with eggs and breakfast potatoes, and much more.

Celebrate at Johnny’s Hideaway

Johnny’s Hideaway, one of Atlanta’s original nightspots, will be open late on Sunday, July 4. Live it up on America’s birthday on the best dance floor in town. Cover charge is $5.
