FAIRBUN, Ga. — The gates of Newcastle have something evil in store this Halloween.

The Georgia Renaissance Festival grounds transform into The Village, an outdoor haunted experience, this October.

“A quiet community, long since forgotten, has come alive,” a press release announcing the experience notes. “Centuries ago, the ground this small village was built upon was cursed. It has been home to many unsuspecting residents for decades, unaware of the unspeakable evil that was waiting to awaken.”

The Georgia Renaissance Festival transports guests to the 16th century as King Henry VIII reigns at its annual event in Fairburn. It returns in April 2022.

Before the festival returns next year, 13 Stories Haunted House, a popular annual haunted attraction in Newnan, will team up with the Renaissance Festival organizers to stage this year’s Halloween attraction.

It will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October.

13 Stories plans to continue to operate its annual event in Newnan, too.
