Things 2 Do

Skip the snooze button, devour unique menu items at new breakfast spot

We all do it. The alarm clock goes off in the morning and we hit snooze, over and over again.

But a new Atlanta breakfast spot aims to give both morning people and those who would prefer to sleep until noon a reason to rise and shine.

Snooze, An A.M. Eatery opened on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs on Thursday. It’s the company’s first restaurant in Georgia, joining locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, North Carolina and Missouri.

“At Snooze, guests can expect innovative breakfast dishes, vibrant retro-inspired atmosphere, and energetic team of Snoozers dedicated to bettering the community through their ongoing community outreach initiatives,” the company noted in a press release about the opening.

What’s on the menu at Snooze? Dishes include Goldilocks’ Porridge. It features a grain mix of cut oats, quinoa and millet in almond milk topped with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, bananas, toasted almonds and hemp seeds.

The Funky Monkey French Toast features “Griddled slices of banana bread with white chocolate chips, topped with caramel sauce, candied pecans, whipped mascarpone and a brûléed banana,” according to the menu.

For pancake lovers, the Pancake Flight features a pineapple upside down pancake, a blueberry Danish pancake and a sweet potato pancake.

Snooze plans to donate 1% of company sales to local charities and initiatives in 2021.
