Tunes with views: Enjoy live music atop downtown Atlanta helipad

ATLANTA — Great music venues fill the Atlanta area. From Chastain Park to the Tabernacle to the Fox Theatre, there are plenty of unique places to catch a show - but Jazz in The Sky takes it to a new level.

Colony Square’s award-winning, elevated musical experience takes place atop the mixed-use destination’s helipad, 320 feet in the air.

Every Tuesday in May, Atlanta jazz aficionados are invited to experience Jazz In The Sky. Starting on May 4, guests can groove to live jazz tunes while taking in breathtaking views of Midtown Atlanta.

From 6 to 8 p.m., Midtowners will be transported 320 feet into the air for an elevated evening of jazz entertainment atop the helipad. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own light sips and snacks, or can purchase takeout from one of Colony Square’s restaurants to enjoy throughout the event.

Due to capacity limitations, guests are required to purchase tickets in advance to secure their spot. Tickets are $35, which includes a complimentary glass of wine, and all proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Jazz Festival.

All attendees must be able to walk five flights of stairs and should not have a fear of heights. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled and tickets will be refunded. Masks are required upon entry from check-in to the helipad and social distancing will be strongly enforced. The full safety precautions taken at Colony Square can be found here.

Colony Square sits at the corner of Peachtree and 14th Streets.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 20 at 10 a.m.
