BUTTS COUNTY, Ga. — The Butts County Sheriff’s Office is announcing that they dismantled what they described as a drug ring.
Sheriff Gary Long says Darian Berry was running the largest drug threat facing the community when his office began investigating him several months ago.

Long says Berry’s “drug operating network” was distributing fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and prescription pills across Butts, Henry and Monroe counties.
This week, deputies searched three addresses and found more than 700 grams of heroin, two ounces of meth, powder cocaine, Oxycodone pills, drug presses, blenders and more.

Seven people have been arrested and an eighth person is wanted.

- Violation of the Georgia Racketeering Act
- Party to the crime trafficking heroin - 700 grams or more
- Conspiracy to traffic heroin
- Party to the crime manufacturing heroin
- Party to the crime trafficking methamphetamines
- Party to the crime possession of cocaine
- Conspiracy to sell methamphetamine
- Conspiracy to sell heroin
- Conspiracy to sell Oxycodone
- Illegal use of a communication facility
Darian Berry Jr., a.k.a. D
- Violation of the Georgia Racketeering Act
- Trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute
- Trafficking heroin - 700 grams or more
