Man shot at busy Midtown intersection near Fox Theatre, police say

ATLANTA — Police say a man was shot at a busy intersection of Midtown Saturday afternoon.

The shooting happened at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce De Leon Avenue near the Fox Theatre around 1 p.m.

Atlanta police said a man was shot in the arm and taken to the hospital. The victim’s identity and condition have not been released.

The aggravated assault unit is currently investigating. Crime scene tape was strung up across Ponce De Leon Avenue.
