Alabama’s Nick Saban tests positive for COVID-19 for 2nd time

ALABAMA — Alabama coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not coach the “Iron Bowl” this Thanksgiving weekend, his doctors said Wedensday.

This is the second time Saban has tested positive for the virus. He tested positive in October just days before the game against the University of Georgia. Doctors have since said that test was likely a false positive.

Saban’s doctors said that this time around, he is experiencing mild symptoms.

“This morning we received notification that Coach Saban has tested positive for COVID-1,” Dr. Jimmy Robinson and Jeff Allen said in a statement. “He has very mild symptoms, so this test will not be categorized as a potential false positive. He will follow all appropriate guidelines and isolate at home.”
