Warnock supporters gather for watch party as results pour in

ATLANTA — Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock said he’s not leaving anything to chance and hopes every eligible voter headed to the polls for Georgia’s Senate runoff.

Channel 2′s Dave Huddleston was at Warnock’s watch party location in downtown Atlanta, where the incumbent said Georgians deserve a senator that will be there for them.

“The people of Georgia deserve to have someone who understands the concerns of ordinary people and who will just be present with them, present with workers and present with farmers,” Warnock said.

Warnock said it has been an honor to serve the people of Georgia.

“I think it’s important to show up for people, to hear from them, because they are the ones who put all this work into perspective,” Warnock said.

Warnock is facing Republican challenger Herschel Walker.

The crowd at Warnock’s party headquarters erupted when he was projected to win shorty after 10:30 p.m.
