Carroll County deputy, mother of 2 boys battling stage 3 cervical cancer

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help with donations for a beloved deputy who is battling cancer.

Deputy Shainah Conn is battling Stage 3 recurrent metastatic cervical cancer. Conn has been going to work but CCSO said in a Facebook post that she will soon begin a new round of treatment with 12 weeks of chemotherapy.

Before the announcement of additional chemotherapy, Conn has been through three surgeries, six weeks of chemoradiation therapy, and three weeks of brachytherapy.

At the 12-week post treatment PET scan, the results showed treatment did not work and the cancer had spread.

In addition to prayers, love, mental support, CCSO is asking for donations on Conn’s behalf for her two boys, Carter, 12, and Wyatt, 4, and medical expenses.

Conn’s family and friends have set up ways to help donate to her medical bills. Anyone can donate at a Regions Bank location with the account name Shainah Conn and account number 0331350925.

The sheriff’s office also designed a T-shirt that can be purchased to support the Conn family.
