Clayton County police issue Mattie’s Call for man with Alzheimer’s, dementia

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are looking for help from the public to find a man who walked away from his home near Jonesboro.

Police say 78-year-old Edward Brown walked away from the home on the 2100 block of Shawnee Drive around 6 p.m. Friday.

They said Brown carries a GPS tile device and the last location they got from the GPS showed him near the Eagles Landing and Rock Quarry Road area of Henry County. They notified Henry County police who are also on the lookout for Brown.

Police say Brown has Alzheimer’s, COPD and dementia. They describe his as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. He’s 6-1, 210 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a black hat and gray tennis shoes.

Clayton County police are asking anyone who may have information on Edward Brown’s whereabouts to please call them at 770-477-3747.
