People who walk and jog nearby were shaking their heads about the violence.

Elijah Ketchup, a jogger, couldn’t believe it when he heard the news.

“To hear that is ridiculous, especially the same car,” Ketchup said.

Ketchup said too many people are resorting to violence to resolve conflicts, no matter where they are.

“And it really doesn’t prove anything, especially when everybody, you know, innocent people can be hit,” Ketchup said. “We have to stay prayerful and keep each other up so those things don’t happen.”

Metro Atlanta has seen at least six deadly shootings on its interstates and highways this year.

Houston Rapper Korey Detiege, 33, was shot and killed on I-85 south near Jimmy Carter Boulevard last Friday.

Police investigating the Riverdale shooting say enough is enough.

“Got to stop. Got to stop,” Lt. Brandon Criss with Riverdale Police said. “We are losing too many lives to gun violence and I just feel like it’s nonsense.”

Police say firing multiple shots is a recipe for danger.

“It’s very dangerous,” Criss said. “I mean, luckily, nobody else was hurt.”

Police said they found narcotics in the car, but are investigating what sparked the shooting. The survivor has not been charged.

Police are asking anyone who has information about this shooting or witnessed it to call them.
