Austell police concerned about missing 22-year-old’s safety (Update: Found safe)

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Update Sunday Morning:

Cobb County Bureau Chief Chris Jose spoke with Austell police Sunday morning. They tell him Abigail Toeneboehn was found safe in Alabama. Investigators believe she left home on her own.

From Thursday night:

Austell Police are searching for a missing 22-year-old woman.

Abigail Toeneboehn was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at her apartment at West Creek Stables on Perkerson Mill Road.

Police told Cobb County Bureau Chief Chris Jose they are concerned for Toeneboehn’s safety.

Her mother told Jose she lives in Austell to train three to five days a week. She’s from Lee County, Alabama.

Police say Toeneboehn’s disappearance is suspicious. Her keys, wallet, cellphone and personal items were left behind. Toeneboehn’s car was left on the property.

Investigators do not know if she left on her own.

Police spent the day searching for Toeneboehn. A K-9 unit searched the property, and investigators have put out a “Be On the Lookout” for surrounding police jurisdictions.

Police told Jose they need the public’s help. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
