Expecting mother stops by fire station to use bathroom, has baby instead

AUSTELL, Ga — One metro Atlanta family welcomed its newborn in a unique way.

On Feb. 10, Firefighter Brett Langston, his wife, and his daughter were on the way to the hospital to have his daughter’s baby delivered when they needed to take a bathroom break at Langston’s place of work, the Austell Fire Department.

All of a sudden, Langston’s daughter was in labor. An ambulance was called, but by then there was no time to go to the hospital.

The midwife made her way to the fire station and delivered a healthy baby girl, who was seven pounds and two ounces at birth.

The baby was born just after noon.
