COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man who attacked an 84-year-old grandmother outside a Vinings Publix is headed to prison.
A Cobb County jury convicted Oluwole Olushola for the June 2019 robbery and assault of Sondra Dillon.
Superior Court judge Kellie Hill sentenced Olushola to 20 years. He’ll serve 13 years in prison and the balance on probation. He is not eligible for parole.
“I hope his inmates beat him to a pulp and leave him unconscious as he did to me,” Dillon said.
Dillon kept the note that she read in court on Wednesday. She met exclusively with Channel 2′s Chris Jose following Olushola’s sentence.
“(Other prisoners) they’re going to beat him up. I hope that happens to him. That he meets a bunch of people like that and they’ll just beat him to a pulp like he did to me,” Dillon said.
When Jose first met Dillon two and a half years ago, she had a black eye and numerous injuries.

At the time, Cobb County police were looking for a man who jumped out of his car and attacked Dillon at a Publix parking lot.
Dillon had just gotten to the store to meet her friend.
“When I close my eyes and see that that face of his, it gives me the creeps,” Dillon said.
Dillon’s black eye is gone and the bumps and bruises have healed, but her injured knee has limited her mobility.
Dillon now walks around with a cane.
An indictment shows the man also known as “Double O” and “Sunday” stole Dillon’s purse and used her credit cards at retail stores across metro Atlanta.
Jose asked Dillon to clarify whether she really wants her attacker to feel her pain.
“I would say it again, but I’m not going to say it anymore, because after this interview, I’m just going to move on. Live my life,” Dillon said.
The jury convicted Olushola for robbery, financial card theft and identity fraud. His attorney has already filed an appeal.
