COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police said a husband killed his wife and shot his son inside their home.
Officers were called to a home on Laurel Creek Trail just before 8 p.m. Wednesday night for reports of a person being shot.
People in the peaceful neighborhood describe what they saw LIVE on Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m.
They found Jason Wrzesian, 23, at a neighbor’s house with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital.
Shital Wrzesian, 57, was found inside her home. She had been shot and did not survive her injuries.
Investigators said her husband, 56-year-old Kirk Wrzesian, was the shooter and took him into custody.
He faces charges including felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
He was booked into the Cobb County Jail and is being held without bond, police said.
Police have not said what led to the shooting.
