Rocky trotted away from active duty in 2015 at the age of eight, when his partner left the North Georgia police agency.

They said he got the opportunity of a lifetime to live out his days with his partner as a farm dog.

Police said Rocky loved to lounge in the creeks on the farm and chase alongside his partner when he was on a four wheeler. Rocky had a thing for ice cream sandwiches and left his friends with a smile and some fond memories.
