The eight-year-old officer will be spending his retirement years living with his handler and partner Corporal Sessa and the Sessa family with a lengthy and successful career in the books.

Deputies said Hummer was born in 2013 and raised by a man named Johan in Holland. He was then picked by Custom K9 to come to the U.S. and train for his police work. Hummer landed in Forsyth County at the ripe old age of one. Deputies said Johan still checks in with them to see how his prize pup is doing from time to time.
