FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Drivers may notice more traffic along the roads near I-285 in North Fulton County.
More commuters are using alternate routes after the Georgia Department of Transportation closed two westbound lanes between Roswell and Ashford Dunwoody Roads along I-285.

“Very stressful. It’s already stressful enough,” said commuter Adrienne Bryant. “It really takes you way out the way, trying to go to work.”
According to GDOT, the closure will allow crews to construct I-285 bridges over Georgia 400, Peachtree Dunwoody Road, and Glenridge Drive.

The project is expected to last at least eight months.
“I hate to even think about it,” said Bryant.
Owner of the Gyro Bros. restaurant, Gray Saleh, hopes the new traffic along the side roads will lead to his business.
“We have our regular customers, so we’ve been getting by, but it’s definitely been hassle,” Saleh said.
