Isolated showers will dwindle throughout the evening

ATLANTA — Any thunder showers remaining across north Georgia Monday evening will fade away throughout the night. But the threat of potential storms will be back by Tuesday evening.

Tuesday will start off with just partly cloudy skies and will continue to clear through the lunch time.

“The late afternoon commute looking pretty good,” said Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns.

Burns said thunderstorm energy will be relatively low across the metro Tuesday throughout the day, but by the late evening that will change.

By around 11 p.m., storms will begin to develop south of Interstate 20.

“I do expect the chance for a thunderstorm each and every day this week,” Burns said.
