LaGrange teen dead, another injured in ‘drug-related’ double shooting, police say

LAGRANGE, Ga. — Two teenagers in LaGrange were the targets of a double shooting that police say was likely drug-related.

Police responded to the 800 block of Creed Street just after 11:15 a.m. in reference to two people shot in the street.

Officers on the scene found a 15-year-old suffering gunshot wounds to the chest and leg and 18-year-old D’Marzaion Ferrell, who had been shot in the head.

Ferrell was pronounced dead at the scene and the 15-year-old was flown to a hospital in Macon, Georgia for more treatment.

Police say there are several people being sought for questioning to determine what led up to the shooting. They have not released any information on possible suspects.
