Tour Championship allowing limited amount of fans at East Lake this year

For the first time since 2019, fans will be allowed to watch the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in person Labor Day weekend.

When the top 30 players in the world compete in the final PGA Tour event of the season, limited fans will be allowed on the grounds. There will still be some restrictions in place for spectators.

Last season, fans were not allowed due to the pandemic. The Tour Championship hasn’t released exactly how many fans will be on the grounds each day. Organizers will release those details later on.

Tour Championship executive director Allison Fillmore told Channel 2′s Alison Mastrangelo that tickets will be in high demand this year.

The tournament will also offer peace of mind purchasing. That means if the tournament is postponed or canceled for COVID-19 reasons, fans will be refunded.

Tickets go on sale Friday and start at $60. A limit of four daily grounds tickets can be purchased each day, Thursday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 5.
