ATLANTA — Just like the Mega Millions jackpot Friday night, there was nobody who walked away as a Powerball winner after Saturday nights drawing.

That means the $640 million jackpot rolls over and the next drawing Wednesday night. The updated jackpot right now sits at $730 million. When you combine that with the $850 Mega Millions jackpot, we’re talking about over $1.5 billion in potential winnings.

The $750 million Powerball figure is only the fourth time in the game’s 28-year history the jackpot has crossed the $700 million threshold. The $850 million Mega Millions jackpot marks the second largest jackpot in that games history.

Powerball still holds the record for largest jackpot ever at $1.586 billion for a drawing held January 13, 2016. Mega Millions had a $1.537 billion prize October 23, 2018.

The biggest Mega Millions winner in Georgia history, that was a $648 million jackpot in December of 2013, shared with someone from California.

Surprisingly, nobody from the state of Georgia has cashed in on any of the top 10 largest Powerball jackpots according to the Powerball corporation.

You can watch drawings for both Powerball and Mega Millions twice a week, right here on Channel 2. The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday night at 10:59 p.m. with Powerball on Wednesday at the same time. Both air just ahead of WSB Tonight at 11.
