Weather on the way: Rain on Saturday, temperatures plunging on Sunday

Arctic air next week

Get ready for some rainy weather to move in as we head into the weekend.

Severe Weather Team 2 says the wet weather will start moving in Friday night.

“It’s going to be a wet start to the weekend. Saturday morning we’ll have some moderate to occasionally heavy rain, but it doesn’t last all day,” Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

After the rain moves out, we’re going to see a big drop in the temperature.

Here’s what to know:

  • By Saturday afternoon, a cold front starts moving into Georgia
  • The arctic air will move in by Sunday
  • Beginning of the week, high temps will only reach 30-35 degrees
  • Low will be in the teens
