HANCOCK COUNTY, Ga. — Two inmates died on Thursday at the Hancock State Prison, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
The GDC confirmed to Channel 2 Action News on Friday the altercation between the inmates occurred on Jan. 30 and said that it appeared to be gang-related.
The two inmates who died are identified as Prince Porter and William Holeman.
A third inmate was involved, however, they were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Porter was serving 20 years for criminal attempt out of Dekalb County with a maximum release date of August 2030, while Holeman was serving 20 years for Armed Robbery out of Coweta County with a maximum release date of March 2041.
