3 arrested in multi-state Walmart theft ring after police find $30K in stolen merchandise

PERRY, Ga. — Three people have been arrested for stealing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise from Walmart stores around the southeast.

The Perry Police Department, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, and Walmart’s Global Investigations Division worked together to arrest Christopher Simpson, 41, Peyton Foster, 26, and Jonathan Eubanks, 31.

According to a release from the Perry Police Department, the trio are believed to be part of an organized group responsible for stealing high-value items from stores in several states.

During the arrests, police seized around $30,000 in stolen merchandise and evidence linking them to the crimes at Walmart and other big box stores across state lines.

Charges of conspiracy and organized theft are expected to be added as the investigation continues.

They are being held at the Houston County Detention Facility.
