Georgia football fans are scrambling to score tickets, airfare and hotels ahead of next Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship game.
Cobb County resident Jacob Ashcraft and his 9-year-old son, Davis, are headed to Southern California for the big game.
“It was an emotional coaster,” Jacob said about watching the Bulldogs defeat Ohio State in the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Ashcraft told Channel 2′s Michael Seiden that he had a feeling that the Dawgs would make it back this year, so he decided to book airfare and hotels in November.
“I’m definitely thankful we did that,” Ashcraft said.

Ashcraft said he and his son are still looking to score tickets to the game.
Channel 2 reached out to The Ticket Magician, an Atlanta-based ticket broker that’s keeping tabs on the secondary ticket market.
“Right now, the cheapest ticket is about $670 plus,” owner Kevin Mendel said. “If you are okay with waiting, then I would wait until closer to kickoff.”
