4 arrested after fugitive manhunt in northeast Georgia

HELEN, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says four people were arrested after a fugitive manhunt in northeast Georgia.

The GBI said Kaylynn Bohan, of Georgia, and Courtney Cole Scott, Jeffrey Edwards and Katrina Edwards, all of South Carolina, were arrested after law enforcement partners from Myrtle Beach asked for help finding a fugitive.

The GBI’s Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office said along with the White County Sheriff’s Office and police officers from the Helen and Cleveland Police Departments, a manhunt spanning Helen to Cleveland ended in the arrests.

Here’s what GBI said each person was arrested for:

  • Courtney Cole Scott, 32, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. arrested on Fugitive Warrants for Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Armed Robbery.
  • Kaylynn Bohan, 23, of Cleveland, Ga. was arrested for Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal, Possession of Cocaine, and Crossing the Guard line with a Controlled Substance .
  • Jeffrey Edwards, 62, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. was charged with Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal.
  • Katrina Edwards, 51, of Myrtle Beach was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal.

All four suspects were booked at the White County Jail, GBI said.
