ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that left an innocent bystander dead on Friday afternoon.
Officers confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that they were called to a shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near Howell Drive just after 1 p.m.
When they got there, they found a man who had been shot several times. He was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity has not been released.

Investigators say the victim was caught in the crossfire of two other people shooting at one another.
Police have not released details about what led up to the shootout or identified either of the people involved.
