ATLANTA — It may be only Feb. 3, but it feels more like April outside.
Severe Weather Team 2 says we had our first day in the 70s on Jan. 25 this year. That lines up with the last couple of years where it happened on Jan. 1 in 2022, and Jan. 12 in 2023.
“Keep in mind though, we’re going to have another shot or two of cold coming in, in fact all signs point to the second half of February being,” Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
Monahan said cold air is building up in Canada, which will eventually make its way down here to the Atlanta metro by the end of the month.
But for now, enjoy the warmth and the sun!
