ATLANTA — Atlanta police is investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday evening.
APD officials say just after 5 p.m. on Friday, officer responded to a person shot call at 891 Rock Street in northwest Atlanta.

When they arrived on scene, they found a 34-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was alert, conscious and breathing and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Motive for the shooting appeared to start with an argument between the shooting victim and a man he was familiar with which led to the shooting.

Investigators with the domestic violence unit responded to the scene and say their investigation is ongoing.
