“What we’re afraid of is that they’re going to be shooting in our direction and one of us is going to get killed,” said neighbor Bappa Basu.

Basu said there are nights he fears for his life.

“Those bullets are going to make their way into our houses,” Basu explained.

Shaun Trawick said he heard gunshots this past Sunday night.

“Anything can happen with a bullet and the rounds so close to our homes,” said Trawick.

Neighbors told Channel 2 that they called Atlanta police, but nothing was done.

On Tuesday, officers told Washington they are working to find the case incidents.

Those incidents will then be forwarded to Zone 5 officers and to the Path Force, the force dedicated to Beltline safety.

Still, Basu said he is genuinely concerned.

“They’re shooting in an area that is populated with a lot of houses and those houses have children in them as well,” Basu said.
