ATLANTA — We know social media rumors got your hopes up for Georgia’s first In-N-Out restaurant in Atlanta, but, unfortunately, they’re not true.
Posts going around social media appeared to show a sign promoting the opening of an In-N-Out on Ponce de Leon Ave.

Channel 2 Action News checked with In-N-Out’s corporate offices who confirmed that it’s not true.
Mike Abbate, Vice President of Store Development, confirmed that there are not currently plans to expand the fast food chain into Georgia.
“Unfortunately, any information regarding plans to open an In-N-Out Burger in Georgia is inaccurate. Although we do not currently have any plans to open a restaurant there, we do know it’s a wonderful state,” Abbate said in a statement.
Hopefully, that means they’ll call the Peach State home sooner or later.

The fan-favorite restaurant operates 400 locations, primarily across the West Coast.
While they may not be coming to Georgia just yet, its first Tennessee location is currently under construction.
