APD told Channel 2′s Eryn Rogers they have two persons of interest. They said there is no threat to the public. Everyone who was involved is at headquarters being interviewed.
Police said the female shooter called in the shooting.
“It appears there was an escalating dispute between the two,” Homicide Commander Lt. Andrew Smith with the Atlanta Police Department said.
He said the argument was over a man with a mutual relationship between the two women.
Someone who knew the victim told Rogers the 28-year-old was a mother to three young children and the man involved was the father.
Homicide Unit investigators later classified the killing as “a felon killed by private citizen.”
