ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after police said a woman was shot early Thursday morning.

Just after 1:33 a.m., Atlanta officers were called to Campbelltown Road in northwest Atlanta regarding a person shot.
When APD arrived, officers found a woman shot. She was taken to the hospital and is stable.
According to investigators, the woman was at a friend’s house when she noticed a tow truck driver taking possession of her friend’s vehicle.

APD said the victim and driver began arguing, leading to the victim getting shot in the leg.
The truck driver drove away and left the vehicle he attempted to impound. Officials said, later the driver called and said he was being shot at.
At this time, Atlanta detectives believe another man may be involved in the incident.
None of those involved ages and identities were released.
The investigation is ongoing.
