Chick-fil-A says the slight adjustment helps the fries stay crispier longer. The new recipe does not include any of the nine major allergens. The new coating for the fries does contain pea starch.

There has been mixed reaction to the change on social media. A majority of the comments on the chain restaurant’s most recent post on Facebook and Instagram are about the fries.

The commenters have noted that the fries do taste different to them and they want the original fries back.

Chick-fil-A says the recipe has been tested for over a year and that the fries still have “the same great taste.”

This isn’t the only recipe change that Chick-fil-A has made over the past year.

In May 2024, the chicken restaurant chain said they switched from “No Antibiotics Ever (NAE)” chicken to “No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine (NAIHM)” chicken.
