Deputies asking for public’s help finding men caught on video stealing lottery tickets

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding two men whom they say stole scratch-off lottery tickets in an early Wednesday morning heist.

Deputies say that at around 2 a.m., two men wearing masks forced their way into Smallwood’s Grocery on state Route 166 and stole lottery scratch-off tickets.

It’s unknown just how many tickets were stolen by these men.

After stealing the tickets, the men got into an unknown car and fled in the direction of Douglas County, deputies say.

Douglas County deputies say the two men also broke into a Chevron in Douglasville and stole the lottery ticket display.

Deputies said the men also committed a similar theft in Villa Rica.
