After a week-long, multi-agency investigation, police, and sheriff’s investigators obtained a search warrant and raided the home of 70-year-old Victor North.
Authorities say they seized 1,700 opioid pills including oxycodone, hydrocodone and tramadol. In addition, they confiscated a firearm and a large stack of cash.
“If he’s running a pill mill. That’s a no-no. We got too many kids out in the world where that kind of stuff is ruining them,” said neighbor Joseph Jones.

Another neighbor says he saw peculiar interactions around the home.
“I used to see people coming in and out of there often. I’d see people coming by. He would hand some guy something outside the door,” said neighbor Tyrone Rogers.
A drug addiction counselor says given the large quantity of pills seized, she suspects some or many of them could be “counterfeit pills” compounded in pill presses and made to look like prescription pain medications, but far more dangerous.
“Those are called white pressies and they look almost exactly like the real deal. They could have fentanyl. Many times they do have fentanyl in them. You don’t know what you’re going to get,” said drug addiction counselor Kim Castor.
North, who authorities say is a convicted felon, faces numerous drug trafficking charges. He was released on a $10,000 bond after spending six days in the Carroll County Jail.
Channel 2′s Tom Regan went to North’s home to get his side of the story, but no one answered the door.
