The investigation started on Thursday morning when DeKalb firefighters responded to a brush fire between two apartment complexes on Brockett Road.
They found a man’s body in the fire. Police said it appears the man had been shot to death before the fire.
Officers tracked down the suspects to the area of Parklake Drive. When they tried to arrest them, police said the suspects started a chase with them, DeKalb County police and Georgia State Patrol.
The chase ended on Panola Road. NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and spotted the damage to multiple vehicles.
“We were quickly able to take all three suspects into custody,” Walker said.

Police said they have not been able to identify the victim because of the burns on his body.
“Right now he’s still unidentified,” Sgt. Andrew Walker told Channel 2′s Tom Jones.
Officers say they were able to arrest the accused gunmen less than 12 hours after the shooting. Now they want to identify the victim.
“Right now we’re waiting on someone to report a loved one missing. That way we could do DNA testing and other testing and we can identify this person,” Walker said.
Police did not give us enough details about the victim’s identity where we could share a description of him.
Officers are asking anyone who has a loved one that they’re accustomed to being in contact with and they haven’t heard from them recently, to give police a call.
