CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police have shared more details about a young girl who said she was abandoned.
On Monday, Dec. 30, just after 7 a.m., a girl came into the Clayton County Police Department precinct on Anvil Block Road in Ellenwood asking for help.
She told police she was abandoned overnight by her caretaker on the side of a nearby road.

Later Monday morning, CCPD said the girl provided a false name to police and was later confirmed to be reported missing out of Henry County.
CCPD has identified the girl as a runaway from Henry County.
The Henry County Police Department is now leading the investigation.
