CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A murder suspect was captured in Clayton County on Friday.
In October 2024, a homicide happened in Atlanta and police identified Tyshier Denike as a suspect.
At 4 p.m. Friday, Atlanta police detectives located Denike as he entered Clayton County.
Clayton County police, Atlanta police, and the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office worked together to surround a home off Grant Road in Ellenwood where Denike planned to hide.
After officers identified themselves, Denike jumped out of the back window of the home and tried to jump over a fence.
A Clayton County police officer was waiting with K-9 Rocky and stopped him.
Denike was treated for a dog bite and then released to Atlanta police to be taken back to Atlanta.
