CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Clayton County are searching for a teenage girl who was taken by her non-custodial parent.

Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Makyiah Jackson, 16, was taken by Montegus Jackson, 42, from a home on Brook Lane in Rex, Georgia, according to police.
Police said Montegus Jackson drove away in a white 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis with a Georgia handicap tag YEV810. CCPD said the 42-year-old stole the car from his mother. Both are believed to be traveling in the car.

Makyiah Jackson is described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
Montegus Jackson is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.
At this time, police don’t believe Makyiah Jackson is in immediate danger. Anyone with information is urged to call the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3747.
