Police shut down Clayton Co. restaurant, citing business for operating without license

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A restaurant will remain closed after police say it was operating without a license.

On Dec. 21, around 7:30 p.m., Clayton County officers were called to Justin Restaurant & Bar on Maddox Road after receiving reports that the business was operating without a business license and alcohol permit. Police said this included both the county and state.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the owner, Justin Kabota, and staff members.

Kabota was cited for not having an alcohol license and operating a business without a license.

CCPD issued written warnings to non-compliant staff members. This included two servers and a bartender.

“The Clayton County Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety and compliance of all businesses within the community. If you are a business owner, please make sure you are properly licensed and in compliance with all necessary regulations. Failure to comply will result in further enforcement,” the department said.
