The news comes on the same day that the popular mall shut down “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to signs posted on the doors of the mall.
Channel 2 Action News confirmed with Georgia Power that they have been working with Town Center for several months to resolve their “highly delinquent” bills. They went on to say that disconnecting service at the mall was a “last resort.”
Belk said Tuesday that it would “offer customers 65% off regular-priced items and 75% off clearance items in-store through Monday, February 17” to “express our appreciation” to the community for being home to the store for so many years.
