MABLETON, Ga. — Three residents and several animals were rescued from a house fire in Mableton Tuesday afternoon.
The fire happened on Cardell Circle and despite the temperatures, Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services got to work quickly and helped put the fire out before it could damage any other homes.
At the scene, firefighters told Channel 2 Consumer Investigator Justin Gray that the fire was not weather-related, but that it started on the exterior of the home.
Still, everyone was able to be rescued from the home without injury.
The fire department said Company 1, Engines 9, 22, 27 and Squad 7 responded to the home.
Now, the American Red Cross has been called in to help those displaced by the fire.
