COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police said two women were found dead inside an apartment they responded to for a call of a shooting Thursday.

The SYNC at Vinings Apartment on Cumberland Parkway, a gated apartment complex, was the site of dozens of law enforcement officers, many dressed in tactical gear.
Investigators believe it was an isolated incident, and there was no ongoing threat to the public, according to Public Information Officer S.A. Barner.
Neighbors told Channel 2′s Michael Doudna that they heard loud bangs coming from the apartment, where they believe the two women were roommates and may have gotten into a fight.
The investigation is active, but police are not searching for other suspects at this time, they said.
Police have not commented on what led to the shooting or identified the victims.
