MARIETTA, Ga. — Marietta police are searching for a shooter after finding a man dead in the middle of a car wash earlier this week.
Officers were called to a car wash on Bellemeade Drive just after 8 p.m. on Monday where a man was lying in the middle of one of the bays. A 911 caller said the man wasn’t moving and may need medical attention.

Investigators later learned that the man had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the car wash.
The man has since been identified as 59-year-old Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr. of Marietta.

Police haven’t released details on possible suspects or motives.
They are asking for help identifying the person or people responsible.
