Marietta child shows thankfulness by dressing up as city’s sanitation worker

MARIETTA, Ga. — Although Marietta City Hall will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, that’s not stopping one tiny kid spreading some holiday cheer.

Marietta’s City Hall staff shared on Facebook that they are not only thankful for their community but also for their residents, especially the little ones.

On Halloween, the child told his mom that he wanted be a City of Marietta sanitation worker. According to the department, the mother reached out and was able to get a logo of the company to place on her son’s own trash can.

The child waited for the workers to stop by and the team put his trash can straight to work.

“Every day our residents make it so easy for us to come to work, thank you all for being such wonderful members of our community,” the department wrote.
