COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Police Department arrested a man from Marietta suspected of killing someone at a Pat Mell Road apartment complex early on Thursday morning.
According to police, officers were called to the Cobblestone Apartments around 12:45 a.m. Thursday after hearing reports of someone being shot.
When police got to the scene, they found Dequelle Williamson, 44 of Marietta, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers rendered aid and Williamson was taken to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead after lifesaving measures failed.
Investigators later identified Tonolono “Tony” Price, 33 of Marietta, as the suspect in the case and he was arrested Thursday night and charged with aggravated assault and malice murder.
Police did not share a motive for Williamson’s murder and the case remains under investigation.
