WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — A 65-year-old man and his 33-year-old son are facing several charges after Georgia deputies discovered illegal drugs inside their home.

On Tuesday, White County investigators were alerted about Danny Shane Helton, 33, of Cleveland, selling meth in the area. Investigators later learned that Danny Shane Helton was a convicted felon and had an outstanding warrant for probation violation out of Habersham County.
Investigators confirmed that the 33-year-old lived at a home on Blue Water Drive. Around 9 a.m. authorities conducted a search warrant at the home.
During the search, White County officials said they found 517 grams of marijuana,15 grams of meth, two hydrocodone pills, three guns, digital scales, and various drug-related objects.

Deputies arrested Danny Shane Helton and his father, Danny Lee Helton, 65, of Cleveland. The duo was booked into the White County Jail and are charged with the following:

- Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)
- Possession of Marijuana greater than an ounce
- Three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Possession of drug-related objects
