East Point police searching for ‘cat burglar’ accused of sex crime, burglaries

Heritage Park cat burglar East Point police are asking neighbors who live in a specific neighborhood to be vigilant after multiple burglaries in the area.

EAST POINT, Ga. — East Point police are asking neighbors who live in a specific neighborhood to be vigilant after multiple burglaries in the area.

The department released a sketch of a man they say is wanted in connection with multiple burglaries and a recent sexual assault in the Heritage Park subdivision.

Police say these incidents are occurring during midnight and 5 a.m. while neighbors are sleeping. Law enforcement officials categorize this type of crime as a “cat burglar.”

The suspect is believed to be between 5-feet-7 to 6-feet tall. Neighbors are encouraged to ensure your doors are locked, windows secure, and to be sure your alarm systems are activated.
